Bilawal directs party to gear up for 2018 polls


KARACHI: President Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has asked the party cadres to prepare and arrange in advance for 2018 general elections as the party has to be fully activated and mobilized base levels of reinventing its glorious past in the second and third generation jiyalas.

PPP president was chairing a high level meeting of the PPP and its sister organizations in Bilawal House to discuss the overall political situation in the country, with particular reference to the province of Sindh, public order and matters related to the organization.

Those who attended the meeting include Chief Minister of Sindh and President PPP Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah, leader of the opposition in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah, Minister of Sind Superior Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, Speaker Sindh Assembly Agha Siraj Durrani, provincial Ministers Murad Ali Shah, Jam Mehtab Daher and Nasir Shah, advisor to chief Minister Sindh Maula Bux Chandio, President of the Youth PPP wing Sindh Senator Aajiz Dhamrah, President Peoples student Federation (PSF) Sohrab Khan Marri and PFP chairman Women Sindh wing MNA Shagufta Jumani.

Bilawal said the fight launched by Zulfikar Ali Bhutto for democracy and for the restoration of democracy by Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto was ongoing and that “should work hard to strengthen the democratic system launched by our founders of the party with so many sacrifices .
